The Answers You Need
What goes on at an IBCLC visit?
www.ilca.org/main/why-ibclc/ibclcÂ
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant® (IBCLC®) is a healthcare professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. ... An IBCLC works in a wide variety of settings, providing leadership, advocacy, professional development, and research in the lactation field.
First time consultation?
We set up a time, be in touch and go with your baby's flow. Families enjoy flexibility and the comfort of not having to leave their home for care and support.
Do I need to hold baby off?
No, feed your baby on their cue and we can be flexible. Our first visit will be about 1.5 to 2 hours and in that time, baby typically wants to feed or comfort anyway.
Is there follow-up care?
We will be in touch after the visit in a way that best fits your needs. We can email, text or chat. I will send a report to your health care team and we can also have another consultation as needed.
